Egan's American Legion Marks 105 Years with a Sea of Stars and Stripes! Get ready, Egan! This November 2024, our very own American Legion is hitting a grand slam with its 105th anniversary and they're celebrating in a uniquely patriotic style! Imagine our town transformed into a vibrant sea of red, white, and blue, as an “Avenue of Flags” sweeps across our streets. Currently, Old Glory flies high on special days, waving proudly along the west two blocks of Main Street. But hold onto your hats there's a dazzling extension in the works! If this project gets enough support, we'll see our beloved Stars and Stripes adorning Hwy 34, Pierce Street, and the rest of Main Street. With enough donations, these flags might just find a home on every street corner in Egan! Want to be part of this star-spangled venture? For just $80, you can sponsor a complete flag set. Whether it's in honor of a brave veteran, a beloved individual, a family, an organization, or even your own business, every flag tells a story. All donations, big or small, are welcomed with open arms. These flags will be the guardians of our streets on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day – weather permitting, of course.
