On 5-6-2026, The City of Egan signed a Yard Waste Site Agreement with the City of Flandreau. In that agreement Egan will pay a flat fee to give Egan residents use of the City of Flandreau’s Yard Waste Site. This is only for the 2026 season as the Egan Board finds solutions to get Egan’s Yard Waste site operable again. Flandreau will require address identification to verify eligible Egan users.
Access to the City of Flandreau Yard Waste Site under this Agreement shall be limited to residential property owners within the City of Egan. Egan residents shall be permitted to dispose of yard waste materials only, including grass clippings, leaves, small branches, and other organic debris as defined by Flandreau Yard Waste Site policies. No commercial use, including use by contractors, landlords (for non-owner-occupied properties), or businesses, is permitted under this Agreement, unless expressly authorized by Flandreau.
